About our Society
The Grays Harbor Genealogical Society has been promoting genealogy and family history for over 30 years. Although our ancestors come from all over the world – not just from Grays Harbor County or its predecessor Chehalis County — we support and encourage each other at our monthly Society meetings and other special events. Our meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Hoquiam Timberland Regional Library meeting room at 420 7th Street, Hoquiam, Washington. Visitors are always welcome.
Membership in the Grays Harbor Genealogical Society is encouraged and open to anyone. We are a not-for-profit organization and as such, membership dues, research services, donations and grants are the primary support for our operation. Annual dues (January through December) are $15 for an individual; $25 for a couple/family. Membership includes a subscription to the quarterly Family Tree Searcher newsletter, discounts for special workshops and events, and other Society benefits. A membership form is available here.
